Select a fictional character that is similar to you in some way. Write an essay comparing and contrasting the character with yourself. Use specific examples in your essay to illustrate the similarities and differences. This will be a five paragraph essay. This will be due on February 1st.

8th grade Religion-The students will read pages 79-81 in their Confirmation books. They will draw pictures expressing the gifts of the Holy Spirit and explain in two paragraphs how it helps us grow closer to God. This assignment will be due on February 1st.

8th grade S.S.- Read pages 730-734 questions 1-4. Begin working on your battle map that will be due on January 25th.

January 15th

8th grade Literature- Complete the review for the vocabulary words for chapters one to three and four to six.  (48-55 and 92-99) Pages This will be due on January 22nd.

8th grade Religion-The students will then create a drawing showing the importance of Liturgy of the word and Eucharist. They will write a one line explanation for each drawing. This will be due on January 19th. There will be a quiz held on January 19th.

8th grade S.S.- Work on your WWI diorama project that will be due on February 4th.

7th grade S.S.-There will be a quiz on the Jackson’s response to the National Bank on January 19th.

6th grade S.S.-Page 227 vocabulary sections one through three. The students will write an essay discussing the causes of why the Jewish civilization would crumble and be forced to migrate from their homeland. This will be due on January 19th.
