8th grade Literature- The students will complete questions for  Act 5 of Midsummer Night’s Dream.  This assignment will be due on April 12th.

7th grade S.S.-The students will work on their Western Battle Map.  Bring in supplies by April 12th for you Diorama.

6th grade S.S.- Study for your Punic War quiz that will be held on April 12th.

8th grade S.S.- The students will work on the Japanese American Internment DBQ assignment. This will be due on April 12th.

March 30th

8th grade Literature- Pre-reading worksheets for Act 5 must be completed by March 31st.

8th grade Grammar-The students will write the following Suppose that one of your friends has asked you to help organize a scavenger hunt for a younger sibling’s birthday party. Write an essay in which you outline the exact process of setting up a scavenger hunt. What would you hide? Where would you hide it? What kind of instructions and clues would you leave for the participants? Be very detailed and include all the steps. (Five paragraphs) The essay must be completed by March 31st.

March 25th

8th grade Literature-The students will respond to the following essay prompt: Argue FOR or AGAINST Lysander’s quotation, “The course of true love never did run smooth”. The students will write a five paragraph essay that will be due on March 26th.

7th grade S.S.- Work on your Civil War battle map.

6th grade S.S.- Finish the compare and contrast chart on the Roman and American governments which will be due on March 26th. There will be a quiz on the Roman Republic and their powers on March 26th.

8th grade Religion- Study for a test on chapter four of your Religion workbook.

8th grade S.S.-Work on your World War II Project. The permission topic and permission must be handed in by March 26th.

March 24th

8th grade Literature-The students will respond to the following essay prompt: Argue FOR or AGAINST Lysander’s quotation, “The course of true love never did run smooth”. The students will write a five paragraph essay that will be due on March 26th.

8th grade Grammar-Complete page 442 if not finished in class.

7th grade S.S.- Work on your civil war battle map.

6th grade S.S.-Read pages 302-307 questions 1-4. Work on the Compare and Contrast chart for the Roman and American governments.

8th grade Religion- Complete page 55 in your religion workbook.

8th grade S.S.- The students will create propaganda to mobilize the citizens. This assignment will be due on March 29th. Read pages 810-814 1-4.  Please choose  a topic and hand in the permission slip for the  presentation by March 26th.

 

 

 

March 23rd

8th grade Literature-The students will respond to the following essay prompt: Argue FOR or AGAINST Lysander’s quotation, “The course of true love never did run smooth”. The students will write a five paragraph essay that will be due on March 26th.

7th grade S.S.- Work on your Civil War battle map. There will be a quiz on the Battle of Bull Run and the Peninsula Campaign on March 24th.

6th grade S.S.- Work on your Ancient Roman diorama project that will be due on April 15th.

8th grade Religion-The students will read pages 47-54 in their religion workbooks. The students will outline the section and turn in the assignment on March 24th.

8th grade S.S.- The students will write an informative essay on either a naval vessel or hero that was involved during the Pearl Harbor attacks. There must be a picture included and an MLA citation page attached. This assignment will be due on March 24th. There will be a quiz on Pearl Harbor on March 24th.

 

March 22nd

7th grade S.S.- Work on your battle map dealing with the Civil War.

8th grade S.S.-The students will write an informative essay on the Battle of Britain and whether or not they would go through the hardships in order to save their country.  This will be due on March 22nd. Begin working on a timeline dealing with the attack at Pearl Harbor.

7th grade S.S.-Read pages 516-521 questions 1-4. Begin working on your Civil War battle map.

6th grade S.S.- There will be a quiz on the early legends of Rome on March 22nd.

March 18th

8th grade Literature- The students will work on their Act Four questions for Midsummer Night’s Dream. The questions will be due on March 22nd. Vocabulary worksheet must be completed by March 22nd.

8th grade Grammar-The students will answer the following question on Criterion: Imagine that the Board of Education decides that students may earn a high school diploma after completing the eighth grade. Students will no longer have to attend ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grades. What would you do next year? How will your life be different? Write an essay using specific details to describe what path your life would take after graduating from eighth grade. This will be a five paragraph essay and will be due on March 19th.

7th grade S.S.-Please complete the weapons webquest by March 19th.

6th grade S.S.-Read pages 294-299 questions 1-4. Work on a map of dealing with the geography of Italy. This will be due on March 19th.

8th grade Religion-The students will read about Pope Gregory and his impact on the Catholic Church in their religion workbooks. They will then choose a pope and begin researching their impact upon the church they will create a short presentation on their contributions. This assignment will be due on March 19th.

8th grade S.S.-The students will write an two paragraphs on whether or not they would go through the hardships in order to save their country.  This will be due on March 22nd.  There will be a quiz on the Battle of Britain and the Blitz on March 19th.
