Lesson 4.  Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Story:
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom (2014 Animation, MOST VIEWED VIDEO!)

Make:  Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Project:  Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Painting with Kindergarten!

In this video the artist, Cassie Stephens, uses a type of paint dauber to make the letters. If you don’t have paint available, use a sharpie or even a black crayon.  When
adding color, remember that if you want to use the water trick you need to use markers that are not permanent(no sharpies for color!)
Note:  Has your child done this before?  Try a new version of the idea.  Try drawing again but use numbers or make a Letter sculpture using aluminum foil..

Grades 3-5

Lesson: Met Kids- Draw with Erasers

Materials: Pencil, Paper, Eraser, Paper towel

Watch the below video on how to draw with an eraser. https://www.metmuseum.org/art/online-features/metkids/videos/MetKids-Draw-with-an-Eraser

Your turn! Create two different drawings.  Will you create an abstract drawing, people, animals, landscapes or still lives? Have fun exploring different techniques by shading with your pencil and erasing different lines into your drawings.

Grades 6- 8

Lesson : Still Life

This project requires paper, pencil and anything that you have at home to add color if you wish.

Still Life drawing.  You definitely have interesting things to draw in your home.  Look around for something that you find interesting such as a vase, a chair, a shoe, a football,  a piece of fruit etc.  You can draw one object on a table or group a few things together.  If you have art materials at home, choose your favorite way to finish the drawing with color or just use your pencil to create light, medium and dark shades.  Remember that you can blend the pencil by rubbing with paper towels.  You can also draw with your eraser to add highlights to your drawing.
