Art Assignments due 4/3

All grades assignments are below

All artwork must have the student’s name and date on the back and set aside in a folder.

All work needs to be sent to my email, delaneyart@stpeter-school.org. Feel free to email if you have any questions.

If your work is not sent it will reflect on your grade.

Grades Kindergarten – 2nd

Lesson :   How to draw a baby bird

Materials:  Paper, pencil or marker to draw, crayon or marker to color.

Watch:  Art for kids hub: 

Make:  Draw a baby bird!  Add a background. Is your bird nest in a tree or is it in the grass?   Color in the whole picture!

Note:  This video series has many different ability levels.  Please feel free to go pick more videos that you like to draw. If  you search for “Art for kids hub for younger artists” you’ll get simpler lessons.   Have fun!

Grades 3 -5

Materials:  Paper, pencil or marker to draw, crayon or marker to color.

This video series has many different ability levels.  Please pick a video that you like to complete the drawing.

Make:  Pick a drawing video and try it out.  Finish the drawing by coloring in the whole thing with your own background.  Is your drawing in a natural habitat or is it a keychain? Use your creativity to make this drawing unique.  Will you outline the drawing in a heavy black line or keep it light and faded on the edge? What is your style?  How can you make this piece of art special? Please write your name and class on the back with a pencil . 

Grades 6 – 8

Lesson : Cake Drawing inspired by Wayne Thiebuad

Materials:  Paper, pencil or marker to draw, crayon or marker to color.

Next, try a Step by Step Cake Drawing inspired by Thiebaud!

Draw with pencil and shade in with crayons, colored pencils or markers.  Choose your own colors!

Optional: Add a background, birthday candles, or change the shape of the frosting.

Extra– 1) Write down a few facts you learned from the video. 

2)Create another drawing with more than one dessert inspired by Thiebaud’s artwork.
